Karlie Wong: Integrating Her Life Into a Passion for Student Counseling

This fall while attending a business networking event in downtown San Diego, I found myself engaged in a robust conversation with a group of folks curious about each other’s work. A vibrant young lady who I had met briefly when I first arrived joined us. She immediately began listening intently to what each of us was sharing.

When it was her turn to share about her line of work, she chimed in talking passionately about delivering quality counseling and consultative services to students in need of extra support during high school and their post-graduate transition.

Curious, I immediately pulled up her website URL on my phone to learn more about her work:

The average student to counselor ratio in California is 760 to 1. Students need the support and the knowledge to navigate their 4 years of high school. It is managing rigorous courses, applying for college, work or military, and making time for all of the testing, clubs, sports, friendships, relationships, and everything else that comes with being a teenager.
