Well, it appears that I’m part of the 1% here. Honestly though, I only tip $1.00 per ride. That is, unless the driver offers some sort of compelling story. Like a driver this summer who shared with me her recent journey with cancer. I gave her $2.00 as though that would make a difference.

Nevertheless, there is something odd about this entire “tipping” setup. So let me get back to reading this article.
